La Réunion Privée - Design Consultation

La Réunion Privée is a private appointment with Berny — dedicated entirely to you, your vision, and the garment you have been imagining. It is not a fitting. It is not a catalogue browse. It is the conversation that makes everything that follows possible.

Construction

During your appointment, Berny will discuss your vision and design direction, the occasion or occasions the garment is intended for, silhouette and construction preferences, fabric families and initial material direction, and the full scope of your commission — including timeline and investment — so that nothing comes as a surprise when the work begins.

By the end of your appointment, you will have a clear direction for your commission, a design conversation documented by Berny, and a complete understanding of what your garment will cost, how long it will take, and what happens next. The $1,000 appointment fee covers this consultation in full. Design, fabric, and production are quoted and agreed upon separately."

Fabric

The Signature fabric library draws from a carefully selected range of premium wool, wool-silk, and wool-linen blends across a range of weights appropriate for every season and occasion. Each cloth is sourced for its hand, its drape, and its durability — the qualities that separate fabric worth investing in from fabric that simply looks good on the bolt.

Fabric swatches are presented and discussed during your Fitting Session with Berny. You will see and feel every option before making a selection. The weight, the weave, the way it moves — all of it is part of the conversation.

Personalisation

Berny designs without restriction. Gowns for the most significant evenings of your life. Tailored suiting that moves between boardroom and evening with equal authority. Custom pieces for occasions that demand something singular. If you can describe it, he can design it.

Your Fitting Session

A virtual consultation with Berny. You'll select your style, discuss fabric, and confirm every detail before a single cut is made.

Timeline

From your virtual Fitting Session with Berny to the arrival of your commission, the La Réunion Privée process takes between ten and twelve weeks. Every step within that window is purposeful — pattern drafting, fabric cutting, canvas building, assembly, pressing, and finishing, each done by hand and in sequence.

You will be notified when your commission ships, with full tracking provided. Your garment arrives pressed, packaged, and ready.

La Margaux - Paris '24

Margaux is the name of a woman who has a standing reservation somewhere. Confident, polished, Parisian-by-choice. The pink tweed and the marble table read as her — a woman who dresses for herself, not for the occasion. Daywear with presence.

La Joséphine - Paris '24

Joséphine is the imperial name — empress, ceremony, the woman who walks into the room as the event. This is the gown for weddings, galas, the photograph that defines the night. Joséphine carries that gravity without being literal about it.

La Céleste - NYFW '25

Céleste means "heavenly" and carries a sculptural, almost mythic quality. The puff shoulders and the belted silhouette of this suit are theatrical — she's not blending in. The name has architecture to it.

La Vivienne - NYFW '25

Vivienne carries a romantic, slightly bohemian register — Vivienne Westwood is in the cultural background but it doesn't borrow her. The bow, the chandelier, the chair — this is the most overtly feminine and decorative of the suits, and Vivienne suits that exact tone.

Every LeCatou commission begins with the woman, not the garment. Before a single fabric is chosen or a line drawn,
Berny spends the appointment understanding who you are, how you move, and what you want the room to feel when you walk into it. The design follows from that conversation — never the other way around.

Each piece is hand-finished in the tradition of Parisian couture — interior structure that holds without restricting, seams placed to follow the body rather than impose on it, hems and linings finished by hand.
Nothing is hidden because nothing has to be. The garment is built to be looked at as closely as it is worn.
